Privacy Policy
How TYALO handles your information matters to us.
TYALO is owned and operated by Anton Yankov, an individual developer established in Bulgaria. Anton Yankov is the controller of personal data processed directly by TYALO. Privacy and data-protection questions may be sent to hello@tyalo.app. TYALO is not operated by a separate registered company.
The public geographic address for official correspondence is Al. Stamboliyski 18, 8000, Burgas, Bulgaria.
This policy is effective as of 17 July 2026.
1. Information we collect
TYALO is a personal styling app built around the wardrobe you already own. To provide that experience, we collect:
- Account and authentication information. The identifiers needed to create, secure and sign in to your TYALO account.
- Profile details and preferences. Information you add to personalize your styling, such as your style preferences and usual occasions.
- Wardrobe items and clothing metadata. The pieces you add — category, colour, season, occasions and (optionally) purchase price.
- Wardrobe and profile images. Photographs of your clothing and, where you add one, your profile picture. These are stored as image data attached directly to your account record in our database, rather than in a separate file-storage service.
- Generated outfits and Lookbook entries. The looks Style Me composes and the ones you save.
- The Wanting. Product links and details for pieces you save to your wishlist.
- Fitting Room verdict metadata. For each shopping verdict, the result — item name, category, colour, score and stylist note. The photograph itself is not part of this; see Section 3.
- Wardrobe Report results. The insights TYALO generates about your wardrobe — composition, worn/resting pieces, and value.
- Collection/theme preference. The Signature Collection you have selected.
- Subscription-entitlement state. Whether your account is on the Free or Premium plan, verified as described in Section 6.
- Support communications. Any message you send to hello@tyalo.app, and our replies.
This website (the pages you are reading now) uses no analytics, no advertising trackers, no cookies and no forms. It does not collect any information about you beyond what your browser sends to load the page.
2. How we use an AI service
TYALO uses an AI-based image and language processing service to read your wardrobe photographs (category, colour, season), to compose Style Me outfits from the pieces you own, to produce Wardrobe Report insights, and to generate Fitting Room verdicts. Photographs and item details are sent to this service to perform that processing and are handled under its own data-processing terms. Where a piece's photo is prepared for display (for example, background removal), an image-processing service may be used for that step.
3. The Fitting Room: shopping photos are never stored
When you photograph a piece in The Fitting Room, that photograph is processed temporarily, in memory, to produce your verdict. It is not permanently stored and is not logged. Only the resulting verdict metadata — the item's name, category, colour, score and stylist result — may be stored in your Fitting Room history, so you can look back on past decisions.
4. Where your data is stored
TYALO's primary persistent application data — your account, wardrobe, styling, and subscription-entitlement records — is stored in France. Our backend (tyalo-production) and its production database run on Scalingo, a hosting provider, in Scalingo's osc-fr1 region (Paris, France). The production database is a separate, Scalingo-managed MongoDB Business database; our production and staging environments, and their databases, are kept separate from one another. The production database is not exposed to the public internet. Scalingo-managed databases use encryption at rest, and Scalingo-managed backups are encrypted and retained within the availability zones of the hosting region. Scalingo acts as a data processor on our behalf for this infrastructure.
This does not describe how our third-party service providers handle information — see Section 7, some of whom may process limited information outside France under their own infrastructure.
5. Backups and data retention
Our production database is backed up automatically. When enabled, scheduled full backups run daily; the most recent 7 daily backups are kept, together with weekly backups retained for 8 weeks and monthly backups retained for 12 months. Deleting information from the live database — including deleting your account — does not immediately remove it from these scheduled backups; backup copies expire on this rolling schedule. Our hosting plan also supports up to 50 manual backups, which may remain until displaced by that rolling limit or, after a database is deleted, retained for a period set by our hosting provider. We do not promise that your information is erased from every backup the moment you delete it.
6. Subscriptions and payment processing
TYALO Premium is sold and billed entirely through Apple's App Store. TYALO does not receive or process your payment card details — Apple handles all billing directly. To confirm and reflect your entitlement inside the app, TYALO uses RevenueCat to verify your subscription status with Apple. RevenueCat receives the identifier needed to check your entitlement; it does not receive your wardrobe or styling data.
7. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. Beyond the core infrastructure described in Section 4, we share information only with:
- Apple and Google — where you use their sign-in options, and to operate your App Store subscription.
- RevenueCat — to verify your subscription entitlement, as described in Section 6.
- Our AI processing provider(s) — to power wardrobe analysis, Style Me, Wardrobe Report, and Fitting Room verdicts, and, where used, background removal on your wardrobe photos, as described in Section 2.
These providers may process limited information under their own infrastructure, in countries other than France, subject to their own applicable legal requirements. We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of TYALO and our users.
8. Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time, directly in the app, from Profile → Delete Account. This removes your active wardrobe, looks, Wanting, Fitting Room history and account record. As described in Section 5, limited copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until they expire or are overwritten under our normal backup lifecycle. Deleting your account does not cancel an active App Store subscription — that is managed separately through Apple; see the Support page.
9. Your choices and rights
You can view and edit most of your wardrobe, styling and profile information directly in the app at any time, and delete your account as described in Section 8. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law — such as the right to access, correct, or export your data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@tyalo.app.
Because TYALO's controller is established within the European Union, no separate representative is required under Article 27 of the EU GDPR. If you are contacting us from the United Kingdom, you can also send any question or request to hello@tyalo.app.
10. Children
TYALO is not intended for children under 13. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If the law in your country requires you to be older to consent independently to the processing of personal data, you must meet that higher age requirement, or use TYALO only with valid authorization from a parent or legal guardian.
TYALO does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that an account belongs to someone under the applicable minimum age without appropriate authorization, that account may be suspended or deleted.
11. International data transfers
TYALO's core infrastructure, described in Section 4, is located entirely within the European Union (France). Some of the third-party providers described in Section 7 may process limited information outside Bulgaria or France. Where this happens, that processing remains subject to applicable data-protection requirements and to the relevant provider's own contractual and legal safeguards.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
13. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of Bulgaria, without removing any mandatory consumer-protection rights you are entitled to under the law of your country of residence.
